Super Visa Income (LICO) Calculator
Check whether you meet the super visa income requirement. This calculator applies the March 2026 two-year rule and parent income supplementation, and shows the math transparently.
Step 1 — Count your family size
Family size is one of the most common mistakes. Include yourself, your spouse/partner, all dependent children, the parents/grandparents you are inviting, and anyone you previously sponsored.
Step 2 — Enter income
Under the March 2026 two-year rule, you can qualify using either of your two most recent tax years.
New in March 2026: a parent's own income can supplement yours.
Income figures reflect the published super visa amounts effective July 29, 2025. IRCC updates them annually — always confirm the current table on canada.ca. This tool does not replace official IRCC guidance.

How do I count my family size for the super visa?
Count yourself, your spouse or common-law partner, all your dependent children, the parents or grandparents you are inviting, and anyone you have previously sponsored and remain financially responsible for.
What is the two-year income rule from March 2026?
As of March 31, 2026, you can meet the income threshold using either of your two most recent tax years — not only the most recent one. A single low-income year no longer automatically sinks the application.
Can my parent's pension count toward the income requirement?
Yes. As of March 2026, a visiting parent or grandparent's own income (such as a pension or investment income) can supplement the host's income — once the host (with any co-signer) meets at least 75% of the requirement on their own. The parent's income can then cover the remaining amount.
